- Do you like coconut lights? -

The shell of the coconut is a good resource for many uses. My work is undoubtedly simple, but I assure you (personal tastes permitting) that in a proper context, the COCONUT LIGHTS are fully performing and nice to see! The Christmas season did the rest ...

MATERIALS

- N° 2 coconut shells cut in half (4 pieces total)

- N° 4 Lamp holder

- N° 4 Pieces of twisted-pair cable

PROCESS

First of all you must be careful to open the coconut without damaging the shell. You can use a hacksaw for iron for its precision cutting and smudge. After removing (and eat!) the pulp of coconut shells and dried it very well, you can drilling the shell with an iron tip. This hole is necessary for fixing the lamp holder to the shell and for the passage of the electrical cable. After that you can sandpaper and clean inside the shell and (if you want) you can painted with white water paint, to better reflect light. After mounting the lamp holder and made the electrical connection, the work is finished.

Here are some photos of the process.
